an ordinary day

the other day I decided to do a "photo an hour" post to kind of show what my day consists of lately. of course the problem is my day usually doesn't consist of a whole lot outside of sleeping, so the post got kind of boring. I mean, you don't want three pictures in a row of me watching Big Bang Theory reruns with my cat, right?

so this is more of a photo collage that's representative of my daily life, as of late... I'm sure you'll find it fascinating.

better together

ladies and gentleman, you heard right. Brando and I are officially an old married couple. one whole year we've been hitched. funny how things change, and other things don't.

we are on a whole other continent, with whole new friends, completely different lives. but I don't really feel that different. I can't believe it's been a whole year. a whole, crazy, messy, whirlwind year.

this one didn't quite get us in focus, haha.

startin' the day off right with some 'bucks!

we had a "Canadian" picnic in the sunny park; doughnuts and pepsi. :)

the weather was nice enough to break out a sundress!

the evening top-off- wine, chips, creme eggs, and Mad Men.

we spent the day doing what we do best; absolutely nothing. oh wait...that sounds not the way I meant it to sound.
what I mean is, we spent our anniversary relaxing and enjoying the abnormally nice weather. and of course, eating delicious food. it was an awesome day. just like that one a year ago. you know, that time we got married.
it's been a rough year in a lot of ways, but I'm pretty lucky to be stuck with this guy. ♥


ps: on our anniversary we got the digitals of our wedding photos, so over the next couple days I'll be sharing some with you! be sure to check back- we had the best photographers ever.

I had this post all set up to go last night, but for some reason never ended up hitting the "publish" button! so I'm just going to leave it the way it was written... just so you know that everything is one day behind. :)

I had a great day. fairly decent day at work, cooking, red wine, fantastic sweet potato stew, good company. pretty much my favourite things, minus some gratuitous shoe shopping.

but, this is yesterday. photo an hour. in case you are that interested.

a couple photos didn't turn out, so I cut the list short at 9. it was a pretty chill day, so this basically covers it anyways. 

it seems like it might be a long week, but it's off to a good start.

the simple kinda life

I had this post all ready to go last night when our internet randomly stopped working. eventually I quit waiting and gave up, but my internet is working today, so here we go!

yesterday I had the day off, so I decided to do a photo-an-hour. mostly to motivate myself to not sit in my apartment all day doing nothing. I didn't have anything to do, but I just spent the day walking around and doing ordinary day things.

these ordinary days

I did a photo-an-hour on my last day off. I didn't do anything special, just felt like documenting the day. it's not an overly interesting bunch of photos, but it does represent my daily life pretty well!

1. good morning, green tea + honey!

2. not the most well-rounded breakfast, but yummy. 

3. where I get ready in the morning (or afternoon, in this case).

4. it looks like a lovely day outside, so I decide to make up a reason to leave my 11th-floor apartment.

5. the church I walk past every day.

6 + 7. nothing like lunch at the 'bucks. the new veggie burritos are scrumptious.

8. starting a new book. excited.

9 + 10. this kitty is always in the same spot every day I walk by. he (she?) is super friendly. 

11. list-making, my favourite hobby. to-do, wishlists, family Christmas presents. list list list. I'm also a fan of cute notebooks and can never resist buying them, even though I have absolutely no reason to have stacks of notebooks now.

12. supper time sides. nothing better.

13. nap time. :)

14 + 15. before-and-after of the most gigantic blister EVER. deserved a bunny. 

16. late-night trip out for ice cream. had a craving for ben & jerry's cookie dough. ohhh yeah. 

I can't wait to have another day like this.
