I'm a new soul

so I'm a little late (ok, a lot late) with this post, but I really wanted to share it with you! 

last wednesday, March 26th, was mine and Bran-dog's 3-year wedding anniversary (and SEVEN YEARS together!). 

it's hard to believe all that time has passed, but the craziest thing is how much things have changed in those few years. so much has happened- good and bad- and most of the time it doesn't even feel like we are the people in these photos. it's strange how a period of time can feel so short and so long all at once. 

but we stuck it out! and here we are, starting over again, moving to a new city (and new country) and seeing what life throws at us this time. whatever it is, I'm sure we'll make it interesting together. I love my furry weirdo. ♥

the way we were

hello bloggerinos, and happy weekend to you all!
regardless of it being Friday the 13th, I have a good feeling about this one.

and at long last, I'd like to share our wedding portraits with you!

Brando and I wanted our wedding to reflect our personalities (like most couples, I'm sure). our home, St. John's, is a big part of that, and we wanted it to show in our wedding photos. our photographers did an awesome job of capturing some of the spirit of Newfoundland as we romped around town in the wind and snow.

we covered Signal Hill, colourful downtown, one historic building, the harbour front, and Bannerman park. our favourite places!

I apologize for my blog slacking again. I'd like to offer a valid excuse, but I have none other than a deep emersion in watched Bones on dvd. it's been great!

I'm almost done with posting the wedding pictures, although the ones here are only the tip of the iceberg of how many were actually taken! it's hard narrowing it down... hence the "read more" option down at the bottom, there. there are a lot of photos, but I happen to thing they're all pretty great. here are my faves from the party time...

give me your forever

this weekend seems to have swallowed up my plans to post more of our wedding pictures. that generally means it was a good weekend. :)

I am anxious to keep posting these pics though! I'm having fun looking through all of them again. but, it is making me desperately miss my wonderful friends. champagne problems, right?

here are a few photos of the ceremony and the bridal party. the best looking bridal party in the world, by the way.

we had a simple ceremony at a beautiful church in downtown St. John's. as you can see, it was very much still winter, so an indoor ceremony was a must. we kept it short & sweet- as short as possible, at least, and still with little personal touches.

I walked down the aisle to Forever by Ben Harper, which was one of the first songs Brando and I ever listened to together, one of the first times we ever hung out. my cousin read a John Keats poem because he's my favourite. my grandfather & a family friend (both of whom are pastors) performed the ceremony. Brandon's cousin played guitar for us (a Jason Mraz song) while we signed the register. and finally, we walked out to Dreams Come True by Hall & Oates! which was probably my favourite part, a little bit because it reminded me of 500 Days of Summer and thus made me feel a smidgen like Zooey Deschanel.

after that bit, the real fun began! 

next up, reception photos! those are fun, you won't wanna miss it.
